  • The internet is always right!

Everything that can be invented has been invented.

Charles H. Duell, Commissioner, U.S. patent office, 1899

As I sat in class discussion the question came up about whether or not we as a society could cut down on pollution. Many said they believed things would get worse and there really is no turning back. I thought to myself that that seemed kind of depressing and negative, so I was about to bring up the quote stated above, but I didn’t know who said it, nor could I remember the exact quote.

    Google.com here I come!

I typed in quote ‘everything invented’

Surprisingly, this is a quote that really isn’t a quote. Charles H. Duell never actually said this (nor is there evidence anyone else in the patent office actually said this) But hey, if the internet said it, it must be true!

This got me thinking, one day, we will look back and probably think we know a quote was said that may not have been said. Something like this quote.

‘Every first person shooter that can be made, has already been made.’ – Ben Chichoski Creator of Call of Duty
(This could also go for Hollywood)

What a fine game & expansion

This game seems familiar, so does that guys face

Why does everyone always have to be yelling?

You’re going the wrong way! – guy yelling in right hand corner to other guy posing for this pic hoping to be remembered as the hero

Another guy posing for the camera ignoring the bloody battle behind him

Wow, choppers! Do we get to fly these ones??

Co-op was fun (this dude is actually yelling under that fabric)

In this one you get a flame thrower! And this guy is also yelling

It was somewhere around here people started to notice something was strange

This is when we finally realized the internet was late in releasing the quote about FPS games.

    Call of Duty picture source

Actually, that quote sounds good today, go ahead and copy paste that into your pulse, facebook, etc.
